Frequently Asked Questions

  • While our buildings share similar dimensions, they are purpose-built structures—not retrofitted cargo containers. They are fully insulated, pre-wired for electric, modular, and designed to be flat-packed and stacked for efficient shipping. Most importantly, they can be easily combined to create large, open-span buildings.

  • Yes. All standard units come fully insulated and wired for electric, with high-performance insulation designed for both hot and cold climates. This eliminates the need for costly retrofits and allows for faster occupancy.

  • Absolutely. Our units are designed to be modular and scalable. Individual buildings can be attached side-by-side or end-to-end to create larger spaces, including open-span configurations ideal for homes, offices, workshops, or commercial use.

  • A full concrete slab is not required. Most buildings can be installed on concrete blocks or piers, depending on site conditions and local requirements. This makes installation faster, more affordable, and suitable for remote or off-grid locations.

  • Yes. Unlike permanent structures, our buildings are designed to be disassembled, moved, and reassembled if needed. This makes them ideal for changing locations, temporary sites, or long-term flexibility.

  • Yes. The buildings work very well for off-grid applications. With a generator or solar power system, they can function as off-grid homes, cabins, offices, or emergency shelters.

  • Yes. A variety of window and door configurations can be added, and openings can be customized to suit your intended use. This allows you to tailor the building for residential, commercial, or specialty applications.

  • Units can be shipped fully assembled like a standard shipping container or flat-packed to allow multiple units on one truck. Flat-pack shipping significantly reduces transportation costs and allows delivery to remote locations.

  • Because permitting and building code restrictions vary by state & county, it is the responsibility of the buyer to research and obtain any necessary permits.  If you are located in Cochise County, AZ, you can opt-out of permitting if your parcel is larger than 4 acres.  In most other jurisdictions, installing the building on concrete blocks will exempt it from permitting requirements, because it will be considered a mobile structure.  You should verify this with your local building department.
